Latin American Legal Studies Association (LALSA)

The Latin American Legal Studies Association (LALSA) is a student organisation dedicated to exploring legal issues in Latin America. Latin American nations are important industrial, economic, and political partners for Canada, and their importance will only increase in the future. As a result, lawyers familiar with the legal systems of our Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking neighbours will be uniquely capable of anticipating and taking advantage of new opportunities. Through conferences, workshops, and social events, LALSA brings together students and legal practitioners from diverse backgrounds who have a particular interest in the region.
